Thank you for choosing INS Batteries. This Warranty Policy explains the terms, conditions, and coverage for our batteries and chargers. By registering your product and using it, you agree to the following warranty guidelines.


1. Warranty Registration

  • To activate the warranty, customers must register their product on our official portal: Warranty Registration Portal Link.
  • Warranty will not be valid without online registration.
  • Customers must keep their purchase invoice and Warranty Card as proof of warranty.

2. Warranty Coverage

  • Standard warranty covers manufacturing defects in batteries and chargers.
  • The warranty period begins from the date of purchase.
  • Eligible customers will receive repair or replacement (as applicable) at the discretion of INS Batteries.
  • In case of product replacement, the warranty will continue only for the remaining period of the original warranty.

3. Warranty for Lithium Batteries (2+1 Years)

For select lithium battery models, if mentioned on the Warranty Card, a 2+1 year warranty policy applies:

  • First 2 Years (Full Warranty):
    Covers manufacturing defects, performance issues, and premature failures. If the battery is found defective, it will be repaired or replaced free of cost.
  • 3rd Year (Pro-Rata / Limited Warranty):
    Coverage is limited and conditional. Warranty claims in this period may include partial cost sharing by the customer (depending on product condition).
    Exact benefits for the 3rd year will be as stated in the individual product’s Warranty Card.


4. Charger Warranty

  • All INS Chargers come with a 12-month replacement warranty.
  • Warranty covers manufacturing defects only.
  • Damages caused by power surge, water, fire, mishandling, or use with non-INS batteries are not covered.

5. Mileage/Performance Complaints (Batteries)

  • If a customer raises a claim regarding reduced mileage or performance, our technical team will conduct a detailed inspection.
  • The inspection will include checking the actual watt-hour (Wh) output of the battery.
  • Warranty claims will be considered valid only if the battery delivers less than the rated watt-hour output specified on the product label/warranty card.
  • Mileage variations caused by external factors (such as vehicle load, road condition, riding/driving style, tire pressure, motor condition, terrain, or weather) will not be covered under warranty.

6. Battery Degradation Notice

  • All lithium batteries experience capacity degradation with usage and time.
  • A gradual reduction in mileage or backup is normal and expected in all rechargeable batteries.
  • Degradation depends on multiple factors such as charging habits, depth of discharge, operating temperature, load conditions, and usage frequency.
  • Warranty covers only abnormal capacity loss (verified through actual watt-hour output testing), not the normal aging process of the battery.

7. Exclusions – What is Not Covered

  • Damage caused by improper usage, accidents, or negligence.
  • Use of non-INS chargers with batteries.
  • Physical damage, water damage, fire, or exposure to extreme conditions.
  • Unauthorized repairs, modifications, or tampering.
  • Normal wear and tear of components.
  • Using the battery after 3 years without inspection, as cell internal resistance may increase and cause overheating.

8. Customer Responsibilities

  • Customers must follow the Battery & Charger Usage Policy available on our website.
  • Ensure proper storage, charging, and handling of the product.
  • Present the original invoice, warranty card when making a claim.

10. Limitation of Liability

  • INS Batteries shall not be liable for any indirect damages, loss of profit, or incidental damages arising from the use of our products.
  • Our maximum liability is limited to the original purchase price of the product.

11. Disposal & Recycling

  • Customers are encouraged to dispose of used batteries responsibly.
  • Contact INS Authorized Centers for eco-friendly recycling.
